Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservation in the Philippines

Oh my GAWD!

Anthony Bourdain together with Market Manila’s main guy in No Reservations Philippines.

Gorgeous Anthony Bourdain was given a tour on Manila’s local street fare. He didn’t like the Pancit Malabon though (Market Manila called it Pancit Palabok, but Palabok is different from Malabon. Palabok is made with pork cuts and has thin noodles, but Malabon features the seafood bounty of Malabon)-squid & shrimps with big fat rice noodles), but that doesn’t mean we don’t make a great Pancit Malabon! Here’s a sample of the episode shared by flip4ever

note:

I would like to correct what I previously posted here. The guy who was with Anthony on this street tour is none other than Ivan Man Dy of Old Manila Walks. You might want to check out his exclusive interview by Anton Diaz of OAP- Our Awesome Planet There are a lot of great pictures of Anthony and Ivan on this interview.

Once again, I apologize for this. Thanks Marvin for letting me know about it. I’ve been reading MarketMan’s blog but I have yet to see his face. His own post of his experience with Anthony Bourdain would have been great if I could only see his face. It seems MarketMan will still remain a mystery to me 🙂

Check out AB’s visit in Cafe Ysabel too!

  1. Hi Alisa. Thanks for providing this link. But I do want to clarify that the guy in the video with Bourdain is not Marketman. I don’t know who it is, but I know it’s not Marketman. Thanks!

  2. Hi Alisa, yes that is Ivan Man Dy in the video, not me. And if you got to the post with Anthony Bourdain soon enough, you would have seen my photo which was up for a few hours. 🙂 But unless they have cropped my head out of the TV episode, I suppose you will see my face soon enough…

    • You showed your picture? dang! I missed it! Thats another reason why I cant afford to miss his episode here in the Philippines! Thanks for dropping by my little space here 🙂
